Broadcasting license of Khalsa TV suspended by UK

London: The office of communications announced that it has banned broadcasting license of Khalsa TV (KTV) after serving notice in December last year foe breaching broadcasting norms here.

The move comes after an investigation revealed that KTV was involved in pro-Khalistan propaganda and violated broadcasting rules.

The notice has been issued on charges of violating the Broadcasting Code by airing such content, which may lead to crime or disorder.

Officials said that a recent 95-minute live discussion event broadcasted content that was expected to “incite violence”.

The British media regulator issued a statement on Thursday saying that the presenter of the program made a number of instigating statements throughout the program, which is spreading hate speach under Khalistani movement.
