London:, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Wednesday announced the end of COVID-19 measures including mandatory face masks in England.
He said that considering a sharp decline in Omicron cases in the country, his government has decided to lift all the additional responsibilities including mandatory wearing of face masks, to contain the spread of the virus.
“Our scientists believe that is likely that Omicron wave has now peaked nationally. From now on, Government is no longer asking people to work from home,” he said.
