MUMBAI: Fraught with embarrassment over his recent interviews by senior wicket-keeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha and pained at a tweet posted by him sharing a screenshot of a series of ‘insulting’ WhatsApp messages the cricketer received from a journalist, the BCCI said that it will conduct a “thorough investigation” into the matter.
“After all of my contributions to Indian cricket..this is what I face from a so called “Respected” journalist! This is where the journalism has gone,” Saha wrote on Twitter.
Virender Sehwag was among the first to come out in support of Saha and now former India coach Ravi Shastri too has reacted to the controversy and asked BCCI President Saurabh Ganguly to look into the matter.
