Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab is launching their unique initiative ‘CM di Yogshala’ to make Punjabis physically and mentally healthy. AAP national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will kick off ‘CM di Yogshala’, a pilot project being launched in Amritsar, Phagwara, Ludhiana and Patiala.
Addressing a press conference about the same in Patiala Punjab health minister Dr Balbir Singh said that they’ve also launched helpline number 7669400500, one just has to give a missed call and the Punjab government will provide a free yoga teacher. People will be able to get all kinds of information about diet and yoga exercise.
Dr Balbir said that today so many people are suffering from diseases related to the respiratory system, blood pressure, sugar levels and heart issues. Therapeutic yoga can help all these patients a great deal and 60 students are trained at Guru Ravidas University to teach therapeutic yoga in ‘CM di Yogshala’.
He added that with ‘CM di Yogshala’, people will lead a healthier life, they’ll easily get yoga instructors and proper guidance. “We’ve opened 500 Aam Aadmi clinics in Punjab as the beginning of the health revolution here and now with ‘CM di Yogshala’, the Mann government is taking health revolution one step forward to make Punjabis physically and mentally healthy,” said the health minister.
There will be a Yoga Meditation Center near Aam Aadmi Clinics because a healthier lifestyle and regular yoga exercise significantly decreases the risks of so many diseases. The Cabinet Minister said that we already have 2500 wellness centers and 16 ayurvedic colleges.
He said that allopathy is Western concept and important in emergency situations but Ayurveda and Yog are our own ancient science and it’s high time we practice this for a healthy lifestyle. He said that ‘CM di Yogshala’ is a unique initiative of CM Arvind Kejriwal and CM Bhagwant Mann is to save people from diseases they get from unhealthy routine and stress.
He added that it is the dream of our Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to make Punjab ‘Rangla Punjab’ and only a healthy Punjab can be a progressive Punjab. He urged all the MLAs and officers to take part in this initiative of making Punjab healthy.
