Another suspected monkeypox patient found in Delhi, record of travel abroad, governments on alert

New Delhi: Another monkeypox patient has been found in Delhi. The patient has been admitted to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital (LNJP Hospital). It is being said that the patient had recently visited a foreign country. The patient is undergoing treatment at the same hospital.

With this new patient, the number of confirmed cases of monkeypox in India has gone up to five. Three people were found infected with the virus in Kerala.

At the same time, a suspected patient is undergoing treatment in Telangana. His sample has been sent to a lab in Pune.

Earlier, the 34-year-old man, who was admitted to Delhi’s LNJP Hospital with monkeypox, had not travelled abroad but had travelled domestically. His condition is said to be stable at the moment. The suspected patient found in Telangana had recently travelled to Kuwait.

On July 20, patient complained of fever and had rashes on her body. He was then admitted to a hospital in Kamareddy district. The result of his sample from Pune is yet to come.
