Amritsar-Mumbai flight cancelled due to inclement weather

Amritsar: Passengers were left stranded due to the cancellation of a Go Fast Air flight from Amritsar’s Sri Guru Ram Dass Ji International Airport, Raja Sansi, due to sudden bad weather in Mumbai late last night.

When the agitated passengers demanded a reply from the staff of the flight concerned for the cancellation, there was no proper response and the passengers created a ruckus at the airport, passengers alleged.

Gopherst Air flight G8-2418 was scheduled to takeoff from Amritsar to Mumbai at 8.45 pm but was delayed by two hours. Passengers first created a ruckus for refreshments.

The aircraft was then prepared for takeoff at 11.22 pm. The aircraft also took off but landed again at Amritsar airport within 10 minutes. After this the staff themselves got confused and after some time the flight was cancelled. The passengers alleged that their flight was delayed by two hours. Even after the cancellation, the ground staff had no idea what to do. There was an uproar for refreshments. Finally tea and biscuits were served to the passengers in the name of refreshments, passengers said.
