Amritpal Singh underwent surgery in Georgia for 2 months to look like Bhindranwale: Report

Chandigarh: Amritpal Singh has undergone plastic surgery in Georgia to resemble Khalistani militant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale before returning to Punjab in 2022, sources in the intelligence agencies said.

An associate lodged in Dibrugarh jail has given this input to the Punjab Police and intelligence agencies during interrogation. The surgery took place in Georgia, where Amritpal stayed for two months before coming to Punjab.

Everyone knows Jarnail Singh Bhindranwala. In the 80s, the Khalistan movement led by Sikh extremists grew so much that the central government had to send troops inside the Golden Temple, officials said. Bhindranwale died during the same Operation Blue Star in 1984.

The nose, eyebrows were changed in such a way that a glimpse looked like Bhindranwala. Intelligence agencies are also trying to find out how Amritpal suddenly appeared in August last year after the death of Punjabi actor and successor Punjab De founder Deep Sidhu.

His associates said Amritpal Singh had posted several posts on social media during the farmers’ protest in Delhi and was also in touch with some people.
