Amid fears of Covid-19 wave, government to organise mock drill on April 10, 11

New Delhi: The Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Friday expressed concern about the increasing Covid-19 cases in the country. For this, he held a review meeting with the health ministers of states and union territories regarding the covid-19 situation in the country.

Union Health Minister Mandaviya said that they have to be vigilant and not spread unnecessary fear. He requested all health ministers to hold a review meeting on health facilities and infrastructure in view of the Covid situation in their states.

The Minister also announced to conduct mock drills on Covid across the country on April 10 and 11. Along with this, he has also asked the health ministers of the states to visit the hospitals.

According to sources, during the meeting, the Union Health Minister asked the state governments to strengthen the preparations at their level in view of the increasing cases of Corona. He said that people should be made aware about the increasing cases of Corona and people should also not be lax about it.

According to the report of Corona Cases of the Union Health Ministry on April 6, 5,335 cases of corona have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. This figure is the highest in the last 195 days. Earlier, on September 23 last year, 5,383 cases were reported. With this, the number of active cases in the country has increased to 25,587.
