Akal Takht will not negotiate with the police for Amritpal’s surrender, Jathedar Giani Harpreet says

Chandigarh: An important meeting of the Akal Takht was held in Bhatinda on Friday. After the meeting, the Akal Takht chief made it clear that Amritpal will not be allowed to surrender at the Akal Takht.

“Akal Takht will not negotiate with the police for Amritpal’s surrender,”Akal Takht chief Harpreet Singh said. He appealed to Amritpal to surrender before the police. At present, the Punjab Police is keeping an eye on the entire incident.

The DGP of Punjab Police has asked all police officers to remain alert. According to sources, the leave of all Gazetted Officers (GOs), Non-Gazetted Officers (NGOs) and EPO has been canceled till April 14.

The heads have been asked not to approve any new leave of any kind till April 14, 2023. It has been instructed that all types of holidays approved earlier should be canceled immediately.
