New Delhi: The AIX Connect aircraft from Bengaluru to Lucknow had to make an emergency landing at the Kempegowda International Airport 10 minutes after take-off due to technical glitch, AirAsia officials said.
The flight I5-2472 took off at around 6.45 am on Saturday and was scheduled to land in Lucknow at 9 am, the official said. However, it landed on the ground minutes after taking off.
“AIX Connect confirms that flight number I5-2472 from Bengaluru to Lucknow faced a minor technical problem. Due to which the plane had to go back to Bengaluru.”
Alternative arrangements have been made for the affected passengers and steps are being taken to minimise its impact on pre-scheduled flight operations, the spokesperson said.
