New Delhi: Tata-owned Air India will launch 20 additional weekly flights to Birmingham, London and San Francisco in the next three months to strengthen its presence internationally. The airline said in a statement that five additional flights a week will operate to Birmingham, nine to London and six to San Francisco, and customers will be offered more than 5,000 additional seats per week. With this initiative of the airline, the number of Air India’s 34 flights to the UK every week will increase to 48.
Of the additional five Birmingham-bound flights every week, three will operate from Delhi and two from Amritsar. Of the nine additional flights to London, five will be from Mumbai, three from Delhi and one from Ahmedabad.
According to the information, Air India’s non-stop flights to the UK capital will now operate from seven cities in India. Similarly, the number of flights to the US will also increase from 34 to 40.
