New Delhi: Aviation regulator DGCA is probing the pilot’s permission to allow his female friend to enter the cockpit during Air India’s Dubai-Delhi flight on February 27. Taking a serious view of the matter, the airline is also investigating, officials said.
An Air India spokesperson said the airline will not tolerate any laxity in the aspects related to the safety and maintenance of passengers and will take necessary action in connection with the incident.
According to reports, the incident took place on February 27 and a complaint was lodged with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) by the crew member of the Dubai-Delhi flight.
A DGCA official said the regulator is investigating the matter. The official said the probe team will examine the relevant facts from a technical and security point of view. The pilot of the flight had let the woman friend into the cockpit.
