Chandigarh: The PCS Officers’ Association today withdrew its protest and decided to resume work immediately. The announcement was made jointly by A Venu Prasad, additional secretary to the chief minister, and Rajat Oberoi, president of the association.
Prasad said that the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has assured that no one will be bullied but the drive against the corrupt will continue.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Mann had warned PCS officers to return to duty by 2 pm or else they would be suspended.
The Chief Minister issued a letter on Twitter this morning, in which he said that no one will be spared in the case of corruption, be it a minister, an officer or any of my relatives… Every penny of the public will be accounted for.
