Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has lauded the performance of the Punjab Police in the arrest of Amritpal Singh and thanked the people of Punjab for maintaining peace in the state.
He said that the person who misled the youth of the state has been arrested. Addressing the media here today, Mann said the AAP government was committed to maintaining law and order in Punjab.
He said he was informed last night about amritpal Singh’s arrest today. He said there could have been firing at the time of Amritpal’s arrest but the government did not want it to happen. The Chief Minister said the Punjab government was keen to maintain peace and tranquility in the state.
