Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh today resigned from the panel of sacrilege cases over differences with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s government over the probe into the sacrilege cases.
The MLA is a former inspector general of police. He had resigned from the police on the same issue. The MLA headed the committee on the government’s confidence in the assembly.
He had convened a meeting of the committee to probe the sacrilege cases on January 20, but Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan convened a second meeting at the same time.
