Chandigarh: Chief Minister Candidate of Aam Aadmi Party Bhagwant Mann on Thursday termed his party’s triumph as victory of the Punjabis.
Giving his maiden speech after winning the election from Dhuri with a gigantic margin, Mann announced that his oath-taking ceremony to be held at Khatkarkalan SBS Nagar district, the ancestral village of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh.
He further said that CM’s photo will not be installed in government offices as is the custom but offices will have photos of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh and Dr Br Ambedkar ji.
Taking dig at Badal family’s defeat in Punjab Assembly, Mann said that people of Punjab took revenge from them for spoiling the Punjab and now five time CM Parkash Badal, his son Akali president Sukhbir Badal and even Bikram Majithia lost the elections.
