Human trafficking case: Pop singer Daler Mehndi gets no relief, sessions court upholds two-year sentence

Chandigarh: The court of Patiala Additional Sessions Judge HS Grewal today upheld his two-year jail term in connection with the kabootarbaazi case registered against pop singer Daler Mehndi two decades ago.

Daler Mehndi was sentenced to two years imprisonment by a trial court in Patiala a few years ago which was challenged by Daler Mehndi in the upper court but his sentence was upheld by the higher court today. The singer was taken into custody by the police soon after the court’s verdict today.
