Lahore: The anti-terrorism court here has sentenced Sajid Majeed Mir, the mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, to 15-and-a-half years in jail for financing terrorism.
Sajid Majeed Mir is on the list of India’s most wanted militants for their role in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. The United States has also announced a reward of $5 million on him.
Mir’s sentencing comes at a time when Pakistan is struggling to get out of the financial action task force’s grey list.
The Anti-Terrorism Department (CTD) of The Punjab Police, which has often been briefing the media about the conviction of suspects in such cases, did not report the conviction of Sajid Majeed Mir.
