Sunil Jakhar quits Congress, attacks Ambika Soni

Chandigarh:The Congress has suffered a setback amid the ongoing Chintan Shivir in Udaipur, Rajasthan as Senior Congress leader Sunil Jakhar has decided to part ways with the party.

He said Good luck and good bye to the Congress party. Sunil Jakhar went live on his official Facebook page on Saturday and announced his decision to quit the Congress. The former Punjab Congress president questioned the politics being played in the Congress keeping in mind the caste equation and hit out at the high command.

He lashed out at Senior leader Ambika Soni and said that those who were in charge of the Congress in Punjab were not given notices and gave it to him citing he had damaged party base.

“If the government is not formed in Punjab because of me, why not terminated me? What will happen to me by giving notice. Happy to be with the sycophants, but make the decision,”he asked Party President Sonia Gandhi.
