Chandigarh: The Punjab government has called for a special Vidhan Sabha session on Friday to reiterate government’s claim on Chandigarh.
The move comes days after Union Minister Amit Shah, during his recent visit to Chandigarh, had announced that the Central service rules will apply to employees of the Union Territory of Chandigarh from March 28.
“Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha has convened a one day special sitting of the first session of the 16th State Assembly on Friday i.e. April 1, 2022 at 10.00 am. Live proceedings of this session would be available at Facebook, Twitter and YouTube Handles of Punjab Government and CMO,” A spokesman of Punjab government said.
