Jalandhar: Under Ghar-Ghar Rozgar program of Punjab Government, District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises (DBEE) organised a job fair in its office on Thursday.
A total of 126 youths took part in the job fair out of which 73 got placements.
Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that seven companies including Future Generalli, Agile Future, Narayni Herbals, Brilliant Insurance Pvt Ltd, Kotake Life Insurance, NIIT, and ShriRam Insurance participated in the fair.
Thori said the Ghar-Ghar Rozgar program was all set to transform the destiny of the youth of the state by providing job opportunities to them.
“The selection of the youth for jobs was being done purely on merit through a fair and transparent system,” he said.
