Bijnor (UP): A 7-year-old girl had testified against her ‘father’ who reportedly killed her ‘transgender’ mother here.
The case has been registered against Mohammad Shadab, who allegedly killed his transgender wife, Jyoti, on the minor’s complaint.
According to the information, Shadab had ‘married’ a transgender Jyoti four years back and also accepted the girl child.
“Their relationship soured over years and they usually fight over money. On Friday, Shadab allegedly opened fire on Jyoti with a country-made pistol, which led to her death,” police said adding that their daughter was the sole witness in the case who narrated the crime to police.
Bijnor Superintendent of Police (SP) Dharamveer Singh said that a case has been registered against him on the statement filed by minor daughter who told the police that Saddu (Shadab) shot her mother twice and ran away from the spot. He said that accused would be arrested soon and further investigation is underway.
