New Delhi: The auction process for 5G spectrum will begin from today in which four companies, including Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, will bid. During this period, bids will be made for 72 GHz spectrum worth Rs 4.3 lakh crore. The bidding process will start at 10 am today and will continue till 6 pm.
The auction process can last up to 2 days
Sources said that the incoming bids for spectrum and the strategy of the bidders will depend on how long the auction process lasts.
The industry expects that the auction process can go on for two days and the sale of spectrum will be around the reserve price.
Apart from existing telecom service providers Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea, Gautam Adani’s company Adani Enterprises is also going to bid for 5G in this round of spectrum auction.
