Chandigarh: Citing that some legal tangles delaying the investigation in 2015 Behbal Kalan police firing, the Punjab government on Sunday said that the investigation will be completed in this matter.
The five-member delegation of lawyers from the Punjab advocate general’s office led by additional AG Santokh Inder Singh held talks and sought three months’ time to conclude the ongoing probe from the family members of the victims and Sikh organisations.
Meanwhile, agitators agreed to the proposal but announced to continue with their protest at the police firing incident site at Behbal Kalan till Justice is not delivered.
