Chandigarh: Verka has increased milk prices by Rs 2 per litre giving a big jolt to its consumers. These new prices have come into effect from October 16.
A Verka official said that now the new price of 6 per cent of gold category 6 per liter has been implemented from October 16. This is verka’s second hike in prices in four months.
Top officials at Verka’s Bathinda plant said that the prices had to be increased due to high prices of cattle green fodder, animal feed and straw in the market.
