US, South Korea ask North for talks after missile tests

New Delhi: North Korea has added to woes of already troubled US over Ukraine-Russia issue as North Korea recently tested a missile.

The U.S. and South Korea have responded and called the act wrong. However, the US also said that the option of dialogue is still open.

US Special Envoy to North Korea Sung Qing arrived on a visit to South Korea two days after the missile test and he held a meeting with his South Korean counterpart.

Later in the press conference he said, “We condemn this test of North Korea.”

North Korea could take action to escalate tensions. At the same time, South Korean diplomat Noh Qu-duk called for talks with North Korea.

North Korea is still trying to strengthen itself through weapons despite all the sanctions. In just three months, it has tested 13 weapons. This has added to South Korea’s troubles. There were many missiles in it that have a range of firepower. Not only that, there is talk that very soon North Korea may also test the nuclear bomb, officials said.
