US President Biden hosts biggest Diwali event of all time in White House

Washington: US President Joe Biden and his wife Jill Biden hosted diwali celebrations at the White House on Monday. “Ever since the George Bush administration started celebrating Diwali at the White House, this is the biggest celebration ever.

More than 200 eminent Indian-Americans attended the event held in the East Room.

A Diwali party was held at the White House on Monday night. Several Indian-American employees of the Joe Biden government attended the event. Joe Biden, who was present at the event, said, “For the first time on the occasion of Diwali, there was a reception on such a large scale at the White House. Our government has the highest number of Asian-Americans compared to previous governments. Thank you all for making the wonderful Diwali event a part of American culture.”

“On Diwali, I extend my greetings to more than 100 crore Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and Buddhists around the world. At present, the US government is surrounded by different cultures. Vice President Kamala Harris is the first Indian-origin woman to reach this position.

During this, Jill Biden praised the people of the Asian-American community, saying that the people of the community have contributed to America’s progress.
