UP election: Rahul Gandhi says PM doesn’t even now talk about employment; Modi holding roadshow in Varanasi

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh elections have entered the last leg as campaigning for the seventh and final phase of assembly, on March 7 in UP’s Varanasi and its eight adjoining districts.

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi reached Varanasi for campaigning today.

The two leaders offered prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath temple here and then reached Pindara and launched a fierce attack on BJP government.

Narendra Modi has been the Prime Minister since 2014 and he used to talk about employment, doubling the income of farmers and giving 15-15 lakh to each one’s account. He used to talk about reducing inflation, but now the PM does not even discuss it, Gandhi said adding that thousands of our youth are stranded in Ukraine amid Russia’s invasion and they are pleading and seeking help of Indian government but PM Modi is making fun of them by saying that these people had failed here, so they went there. Are they not citizens of India? Isn’t it your responsibility to protect them?”

Meanwhile, PM Modi also begins his roadshow from Maldahiya Chowk in Varanasi. Modi will be campaigning in his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi on March 4 and 5.
