Two killed, 10 injured in protests over remarks against prophet Mohammed

New Delhi: Violent protests were held in several cities across the country over the Prophet Mohammed controversy.

In a violence occurred at Ranchi, Jharkhand in which it has been reported that two people have been killed while several sustained serious injuries.

Both are said to be protesters who died of bullet injuries. During the protest, people pelted stones at the police, after which these two protesters were killed in retaliation by the police.

One of those who died of the bullet injury was identified as Mohammad Shahid. At the same time, the SSP of Ranchi injured in this violence is also admitted to the hospital. In his place, DSP Anshuman has taken over the front. It has been reported that eight injured miscreants have also been admitted to the hospital.

Angry over the statement of Nupur Sharma, who was the spokesperson of the BJP, on Friday, June 10, violently protested in the main road of the capital Ranchi. A crowd of people suddenly started gathering here and the protest turned violent. The police then had to resort to aerial firing to disperse the crowd. When the police resorted to lathicharge, stones were pelted by the mob.

Several police personnel were injured in the stone pelting. The crowd was overcome after aerial firing. In the meantime, two people were shot, who have now died.

Protests are continuing across the country after Nupur Sharma’s statement about Prophet Mohammed. After the prayers in Mosque, there were demonstrations in many cities and there was also violence. Many people were injured during this time. Such violent protests were witnessed in many places in UP.

So far, 136 people have been arrested and the rest are being identified. CM Adityanath Yogi has instructed police for strictest action.
