New Delhi: India has captured the title of Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023. The Indian team defeated England by 7 wickets in the final. Soumya Tiwary, Trisha and Archana Devi performed brilliantly for India. Archana, Parshvi Chopra and Titas Sadhu took 2-2 wickets.
India has won the title under the captaincy of Shafali Verma. This time Shweta Sehrawat topped the tournament in terms of scoring the most runs.
England’s Under-19 women’s team was bowled out for just 68 runs while batting first.
During this, Reyana scored 19 runs while facing 24 balls. Her innings included 3 fours. Captain Gracie was out for just 4 runs.
During the England innings, Parshvi Chopra bowled brilliantly, she took 2 wickets for 13 runs in 4 overs. Archana Devi took 2 wickets for 17 runs in 3 overs.
Titas Sadhu gave just 6 runs in 4 overs and took 2 wickets. Captain Shafali Verma also got a breakthrough. She gave 16 runs in 2 overs. Sonam Yadav and Mannat Kashyap took one wicket each.
