A show cause notice dated February 8 by DCGI VG Somani issued cited the Delhi High Court’s order of December 12, 2018 in which the online sale of medicines without a license has been banned.

The DCGI had sent orders to all states and union territories in May and November 2019, the notice said. Despite these orders, medicines are being sold online without license. The notice asks all companies to respond within two days.
