]]> Vancouver: Municipalities across Canada are getting a financial boost to prepare for the impacts of climate change, with Environment and Climate Change Canada and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities announcing $7.1 million in new funding for 80 local projects aimed at climate adaptation.

The projects were selected following a call for applications that was launched in June 2024. The investments made through the Local Leadership for Climate Adaptation initiative help advance the Government of Canada Adaptation Action Plan and the National Adaptation Strategy and support municipalities across Canada to build long-term climate resilience.
