The High Court hearing the plea said that the trial court is restrained from passing the final order, pending the listing of three petitions on the issue before the bench.

The High court bench was told by the IT department that the trial court is going to pass the final order because of a revisional court quashing the summoning order against the two.

Observing the case bench of Justice GS Sandhawalia said, “CJM should not pass any further orders on the complaint.” The judge posted the matter for November 18 and also asked that both be served the notices for an adjourned date.

Captain Amarinder and his son are facing allegations of furnishing false statements and willful omission in providing required information to the I-T department that had filed criminal complaints against them in a Ludhiana court in 2016.
