South Korea ends pre-departure Covid-19 test requirement for overseas travellers

New Delhi: Considering a decline in the wave of Covid-19 virus in South Korea, the government has decided to end the requirement of Covid-19 test for overseas travelers. According to the report of a news agency, a mandatory PCR test is still in force within 24 hours before entry into South Korea.

South Korea’s new Covid cases remained below 90,000 for the third consecutive day on Saturday. The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) said total cases of coronavirus have gone up to 23,497,048.

The latest figure is lower than before, the previous day’s figure was 9,840. In the last 24 hours, the KDCA has confirmed 74 deaths from Covid-19, taking the death toll to 27,014. Health officials believe that the wave of the virus is now slowly dwindling.
