Ram Rahim’s satsang in Punjab on Jan 29 amid protests; SGPC objects to parole

Chandigarh: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) is opposing Ram Rahim’s parole and will approach the Punjab and Haryana High Court over it.

Amid this protest, Ram Rahim has allowed Dera followers of Punjab to perform satsang on January 29 at Salabatpura in Bathinda.

After getting permission for this event, Ram Rahim’s followers have started preparations for the samagam. Salabatpura is the second largest and important Dera after Sirsa Dera in Haryana. Ram Rahim will address followers from Punjab online from Barnawa.

On January 25, on the birthday of Shah Satnam in Sirsa, members from other states said they were stopped from coming by the management. So that there is no crowd. Therefore, the alliance of his followers could not come. When Ram Rahim sought a reply from the management, he said that he was stopped due to lack of space.

Following this, Ram Rahim told the people of Punjab and Rajasthan that in the joy of this avatar month, they will be given a new date to perform satsang. This satsang will be for the company of his state only. Not for anyone else.
