Chandigarh: The Congress’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ led by Rahul Gandhi is currently passing through Punjab. There was a major lapse in Rahul Gandhi’s security on Tuesday.

In Hoshiarpur’s Dasuha, a man broke the security cordon and came close to Rahul Gandhi and hugged Rahul Gandhi.

Following this, security personnel and leaders became active and immediately pushed youth away from Gandhi. After this incident, many questions are now arising. The most important question is how can a person get so close to Rahul Gandhi in such tight security.

Punjab Congress president Amarinder Raja Waring, who along with security personnel removed the man from the spot when he reached close to Rahul Gandhi.

The Congress has twice written to Home Minister Amit Shah regarding Rahul Gandhi’s security. However, the Central Reserve Police Force, which is engaged in the security of Rahul Gandhi, says that Gandhi himself has violated the guidelines on several occasions.

In a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah, the Congress had said, “There has been a response from the CRPF against which we are expressing concern… Earlier, in a letter, the Congress had also alleged security breaches at the Delhi leg of the Bharat Jodo Yatra.”
