Chandigarh: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, which started in Punjab, has left Mandi Gobindgarh for the next lesson. The yatra, which started from Khalsa Ground in Mandi Gobindgarh, will stop at Khanna.
A slight drizzle has started along the way, but Rahul Gandhi’s steps are still moving forward.
After reaching Mandi Gobindgarh in the afternoon, Rahul Gandhi took some rest and met the ex-servicemen.
After this, Rahul Gandhi once again appeared in his old style. He has taken off the turban worn while bowing down at the Golden Temple on Tuesday and starting the journey in the morning.
Before embarking on the yatra in Punjab, Rahul Gandhi first paid obeisance at the Gurdwara in Fatehgarh Sahib built in memory of the younger Sahibzadas.
After this, he went to pay obeisance in mosque. He was wearing a red turban. Yesterday, he wore a saffron-coloured turban.
The special thing is that Rahul Gandhi has been given the highest security in Punjab so far in the Bharat Jodo Yatra in which the Punjab Police has maintained a security cordon on both sides and back.
Addressing the beginning of the yatra, Rahul Gandhi said that hatred is being spread in the country. The RSS-BJP people are engaged in fighting one religion with another, one language with another. They have spoilt the atmosphere of the country. We should show the country the other way of love, unity and brotherhood.
