Chandigarh: Two youths, who had gone to attend Hola Mohalla in Sri Anandpur Sahib from Kapurthala, drowned in the river.
According to preliminary information, the body of one youth has been recovered while divers are engaged in searching for the body of another youth.
According to the information, Simran Singh of Kampura Mohalla and Bir Singh Simran of Vasi village Ibban district Kapurthala gone to Anandpur Sahib. One of his friends, Kanwar Singh, said that two youths started washing their hands after going to the bathroom late at night.
Suddenly Simran Singh’s leg slipped and both fell into the river. Kanwar Singh said he immediately informed the police. With the help of divers, Simran Singh’s body has been taken out from the river.
While the search for Bir Singh Simran is going on. After getting information about this tragic incident, the family members of both the families are going to the spot. There is a wave of mourning in the area.
