Chandigarh: The Punjab Cabinet has decided to recruit 1,800 constables and 300 sub-inspectors every year in the state. The recruitment process will be carried out in a transparent manner. The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
The decision on this annual Indian has been taken to ensure the existing law and order of the state and timely filling up of vacancies.
It is worth mentioning that two days ago, the police station in Tarn Taran area was attacked with a rocket. Talking to the media, Finance Minister Harpal Cheema said that the ministers have agreed to this annual recruitment process. During the meeting, it was also decided that 710 vacant posts of revenue patwaris will also be filled up.
