New Delhi: If you are fond of raising pet animals and always keep them with you, then this news is for you. India’s new airline Akasa Air will now allow travellers to travel with your pets from November 1.
Akasa Air has decided to allow pet dogs and cats in cabins and cargo. Its booking will start from October 15 this year. Akasa Air’s first flight with pets is scheduled to take off on November 1. Apart from this, the company is also going to start a new route in the next few weeks. Akasa Air is now planning to start international flights from the year 2023. At present, the company has 6 aircraft and by the end of March next year, there will be 18 aircraft.
What does the company’s CEO say?
The airline’s CEO Vinay Dube said that the performance of the airline company Akasa Air has been satisfactory in the first 60 days of the start of operations.
The airline started operations in August this year and also plans to start international operations in the second half of next year. The company has six aircraft in its fleet and is set to increase the fleet size to a total of 18 aircraft by the end of the current financial year.
Dubey said the company is looking for new investors.
Services to start from Delhi from today
The company is also expanding its flights. The airline is currently operating 30 flights daily and will start services from Delhi from Friday, October 7. Along with this, the company is also adding new aircraft to its fleet. Akasa Air has placed an order for 72 Boeing-737 MAX aircraft. IndiGo is currently the market leader in the Indian Airlines Industry.
Apart from Tata Sons’ Air India, Vistara and AirAsia, SpiceJet is also present in the market.
