Chandigarh: The Punjab government has issued a letter to 90 MLAs, including former chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi, asking them to return the car parking stickers.
In a letter issued by the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Secretariat, it said that the stickers issued for parking of private and government vehicles should be submitted within 15 days.
It may be recalled that the previous Congress government had issued letters to MLA and former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh for parking of vehicles.
In order to stop the misuse of these stickers, the Punjab government has demanded the return of the stickers. Of these, 90 per cent of the MLAs belong to the Congress. Notably, the Assembly used to issue stickers to MLAs.
