Chandigarh: Issuing fresh guidelines for devotees visiting popular Hindu temple Shri Mansa Devi, the shrine board has said that to gain entry into the Temple premises, people should wear traditional attires, which represents Indian culture as well as sacraments.
The board said that those are not wearing ‘decent’ clothes shall not be allowed to enter into the sacred place.
Temple Secretary Sharda Prajapati appealed to devotees especially to youngsters, to be cautious with their clothing and avoid from wearing short or revealing clothes at a holy place.
Prajapati told that this decision has been taken after considering myriad of complaints received from devotees and it is also important to maintain the temple traditions and attire is a part of it, which must be respected, he added.
Shri Mansa Devi is situated on the Shivalik foothills in village Bilaspur, Tehsil and District Panchkula, during the period 1811-1815.
