Mumbai: After being harassed by men pretending to be NCB officers, an actress in Mumbai has committed suicide, police said on Sunday.
A 28-year-old took this extreme step after ‘fake’ NCB officers threatened to frame her in a drug-related case.
Police officials said that two people, who posed as fake NCB officers, identified as Suraj Pardesi and Pravin Valimbe, have been arrested in connection with the suicide.
On December 20, the actress was at a hookah parlour in Mumbai with two friends when the fake NCB officers approached them.
Following this, they demanded Rs 40 lakh, and later deal was settled to 20 lakh. However, actress reeling under immense pressure killed herself, police said.
