New Delhi: A major case of security lapse has come to light at Prayagraj Airport after a passenger boarded the flight with a fork spoon.
After the flight took off, when the fork spoon was seen near the passenger, the aircraft was later landed back on the runway. This incident is related to IndiGo flight. This flight of IndiGo was going to Delhi.
A fork spoon was found near a passenger on an IndiGo flight from Prayagraj airport on Tuesday. A passenger boarded the flight with a tiffin and fork spoon. After which the crew members saw a fork spoon in the passenger’s hand as soon as he flew above the runway. After this, the passenger’s fork spoon was seized by the security present in the flight.
What do the rules say?
After the fork spoon was seized, the aircraft was landed back on the runway after talking to the ATC. The aircraft took off again after throwing out the seized passenger’s fork spoon. Due to this incident, IndiGo’s Delhi-bound flight was delayed by about half an hour. Despite several layers of security arrangements at Prayagraj airport, the passenger managed to carry a fork spoon to the aircraft.
According to the rules, no passenger can carry any sharp luggage of more than three inches with him on the flight. In such a situation, the passenger’s fork was against the rules in the flight with a spoon. At the same time, questions have also been raised on the security of the airport after this incident. It is said that after the plane returned to the runway, there was a stir among the passengers. However, later all the passengers of the flight came to know the reason for coming back to the runway.
