Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal today appeared before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Punjab Police in connection with the Kotkapura firing incident.
The investigation team is headed by Additional Director General of Police L.K. Yadav.
The team had asked Sukhbir Badal to appear before it on Monday.
Sukhbir Badal was the deputy chief minister of the state and the home minister was also under him when police opened fire during protests in 2015 following the sacrilege incident. Earlier on September 14, Sukhbir Badal was questioned by the SIT.
