Washington: Hollywood actor Johnny Depp has been making a lot of headlines for a long time over the ongoing defamation case with his ex-wife and actress Amber Heard.
The legal dispute is over now as Johnny Depp won a defamation suit against his wife. A seven-member Virginia jury has ordered actress Amber Heard to pay $15 million.
After the final arguments of the case on Friday, a seven-member Virginia jury ruled in favour of Donny Depp.
The jury, however, also awarded Heard $2m for one part of her own counterclaim in the case.
Johnny Depp filed a lawsuit against Amber Heard over a December 2019 article in The Washington Post. Heard described Johnny Depp as a man of domestic violence and assault, due to which Johnny alleged he suffered a mental agony and financial loss.
