As his injury has become more serious, due to which it may take him about 5 to 6 months to recover. In such a situation, along with the IPL, he will not be seen in action in the WTC final. Also, his absence in the Asia Cup can be felt by India.

Team captain Rohit Sharma has already made it clear that his target is the ODI World Cup 2023 and there is still time in the World Cup, so the Indian team management does not want to take any risk about Bumrah.
