New Delhi: Indian boxer Urvashi Singh won the WBC International Super Bantamweight and WBC Asia Silver Crown titles by defeating Thailand’s national champion Thanchanok Fanan in a 10-round match in Colombo. Urvashi defeated Thanchanok by a unanimous decision in the contest held on Sunday night.
Meanwhile, former Amateur Youth World Champion Sarju Bala Devi won the flyweight title after Thailand’s Khawanchit Khunya was knocked out in the second round due to injury. Indian boxer Avikas Tarachand won the lightweight category title by defeating Sri Lanka’s national champion Lasindu Eranda.
