Chandigarh: Four days after chief minister Bhagwant Mann announced that people in Punjab now will get home delivery of ration, ration depot holders today sought commission from the state government for the service.
Holding a press conference, depot unions said that in view of Punjab government’s new door-to-door ration scheme, the demand commission to provide the service as the Delhi government offer there.
Surinder Shinda, President, Punjab Ration Depot Holders’ Association said that he has talked to district and block president urging a guideline.
He said that they demand Rs 200/quintal commission just like in Delhi and if their demands were not fulfilled by AAP government, they will approach the High Court soon.
