Batala: The gangster was arrested from the sugarcane fields of Village Kotla Bajha Singh after a cordon and search operation for about five hours by the Batala police.
After his arrest, the police rushed him to civil hospital Batala where doctors are treating him under police protection.
Police said the accused was carrying two pistols and fired around 25-30 rounds. He was hiding in the room. The sugarcane fields were cordoned off from all sides by the police. Police bullet proof vehicles were also deployed at the spot to nab the gangster.
SSP Batala Satinder Singh had repeatedly announced gangster Bablu to surrender. Police have also used drones and binoculars to trace his location. A large number of police forces were deployed.
